The Standing Lotus Breath is a graceful yoga exercise performed in concert with four complete yoga breaths. It is an excellent exercise to perform at any time, but especially just before taking the posture for meditation.
The Standing Lotus Breath mirrors the stages of growth of a lotus flower, a symbol of Awakening in both Hinduism and Buddhism. It is meant to be done slowly, in a supple, flowing manner, and with full mindfulness.
